Not only can you watch the Barber/Surgeon cure wounds and diseases but also watch as the Militia catch the poacher and put him in the stocks. A real chance to step back in time when life was probably simpler, but a lot more dangerous!
- STONEMASONS FESTIVAL. This will be the third Festival at the Spring Fair, and up to twelve Stonemasons will be carving over the weekend. The theme this year is ‘the wonders of mother nature’ and the judging will take place on Sunday afternoon with the prizes being announced at 4.00pm. As well as being a wonderful opportunity to watch such skilled craftsmen at work there will be a raffle throughout the weekend with the prize being the prizewinning carving. Whilst the stone has been generously donated by Gloucester Cathedral, there will be several competitors who either work or have worked at the Cathedral.
Plus many more activities and exciting events for people of all ages!
